Safeguarding Policy 2022 – 2023
Worthington Primary School is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all of our children and is our highest priority. We have developed and maintain a ‘culture of vigilance’ to ensure that signs and symptoms of abuse are picked up in a timely manner so that the opportunity for those wishing to cause harm to children is drastically reduced.
The purpose of this document is to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the arrangements that our school has in place for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its pupils. It provides guidance to help staff who may have concerns about the safety or welfare of a child, and sets out the school’s position in relation to the safeguarding process.
